Terms and Conditions for Cleaning Services

Welcome to All Tidy Professional Cleaning. We provide professional cleaning services for residential and commercial properties. By booking and using our cleaning services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Service Overview

  • Scope of Work: Services are tailored based on the scope of work agreed upon during the booking process.
  • Initial Clean: The first cleaning may take longer than subsequent visits, particularly if your home has not been recently deep cleaned. We recommend adding extra time for the first visit for homes not cleaned 30 days to get your home prepared for ongoing maintenance.
  • Time and Task Discussion: It is recommended to discuss the expected time and scope of work with the cleaner before starting, especially if you have a set budget or timeframe. You will only be billed for the actual time worked, with a minimum charge of 2 hours.
  • Priority List: If you have time or budget constraints, providing a list of tasks in order of priority will help ensure the cleaner focuses on the most important areas.
  • Cleaning Supplies: The cleaner can provide their own supplies or use your cleaning products, vacuum and mop, depending on your preferences.
  • Excluded Areas: Certain areas are excluded from our cleaning services, including high ceilings and windows, chandeliers, and delicate surfaces. Our services are limited to surfaces reachable from floor level.
  • Additional Charges: Some services may incur additional charges, such as oven cleaning, fridge cleaning, windows cleaning, or deep cleaning services. If these are required, please discuss them with us beforehand.

2. Bookings and Scheduling

  • Bookings can be made through our website, via phone or email.
  • Regular cleaning services are scheduled on a recurring basis unless specified otherwise.
  • Our minimum booking time is 2 hours.
  • Changes to bookings must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Our hourly rates are inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax) unless otherwise stated.
  • Invoices are issued electronically for all services rendered and sent by email.
  • Payment can be made via electronic transfer. We do not accept cash payments.
  • The price for services is based on the man-hours worked. For example, if two cleaners are allocated, 6 hours of cleaning will be completed in 3 hours.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the service cost.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
  • If our cleaners arrive and are unable to access the property, a call-out fee of 50% of the service cost applies.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Safe Working Conditions: You are responsible for providing safe working conditions for the cleaner, including unobstructed pathways and functioning utilities. If the cleaner arrives and finds unsafe conditions that may hinder their ability to clean effectively or safely, they reserve the right to refuse service.
  • Water and Electricity: Access to water and electricity.
  • Heavy Items: If you request cleaning behind or beneath heavy items (e.g., a fridge, bookshelf, or other furniture), it is your responsibility to move those items before the service begins.
  • Valuable or Fragile Items: You should ensure that valuable or fragile items are properly stored or protected during the cleaning process. All Tidy is not responsible for any missing items unless negligence on the cleaner’s part is proven.
  • Pets: If you have pets, it is your responsibility to manage them while the cleaner is in your home. Please ensure that your pets do not disrupt the cleaner’s work or cause any harm. If you have special instructions regarding your pets, please provide them in writing or leave a note for the cleaner.

6. Access to Your Residence

  • To provide the cleaning services, the cleaner will require access to your property. If you are not available at the scheduled time, you agree to provide access to the cleaner by supplying keys or any other information reasonably required for entry.
  • We prefer that the cleaner does not keep your keys but returns them to the original location or a designated spot in your home after the service.
  • If the cleaner arrives at your property and cannot access the residence (e.g., the key was not left out), we reserve the right to charge 50% of the full amount of the cleaning service as compensation.
  • Unless otherwise stated, All Tidy Professional Cleaning denies all warranties, responsibilities, and liabilities related to lost keys, unauthorised key use, or improper locking of the property.

7. Cleaners’ Responsibility

  • Our cleaners are committed to delivering high-quality services and maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Cleaners will bring standard cleaning supplies and equipment unless otherwise agreed.
  • Any damages caused during the cleaning service must be reported to us immediately for resolution.

8. Complaints and Feedback

  • We value your feedback and strive to address any concerns promptly.
  • Complaints must be submitted within 24 hours of the service, providing photos as evidence.

9. Liability and Damages

  • If any damage occurs during the cleaning process, please inform us immediately so we can investigate and resolve the issue. Claims must be reported within 24 hours of the cleaning service.
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or any items misplaced due to client oversight.

10. Privacy Policy

  • You acknowledge that any information provided by use may be used by us for the purpose of providing the services.
  • We agree not to share any information provided by you with any third party not directly involved in the provision of the services.
  • We take all reasonable precautions to protect personal information provided by you from misuse or unauthorised access. 
  • You agree to All Tidy communicating with you by email, phone, text and/or via other means.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • All Tidy reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.
  • Clients will be notified of significant changes via email.
